About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer to join the team building vouch, a sophisticated mobile platform for generating cryptographic proofs of TLS (Transport Layer Security) connections.
The vouch android application integrates native Rust libraries for advanced cryptographic operations and communicates with backend APIs to securely notarize web interactions. This role sits at the intersection of mobile engineering, security, and applied cryptography.
As an Android Engineer, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the development of the vouch Android app – a lightweight product focused on data verification and identity.
- Implement and refine new features for the application and SDK
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, performant user experiences.
- Ensure compatibility and optimization across Android devices and OS versions.
- Continuously monitor app performance and stability, fixing bugs and shipping regular updates.
- Actively shape the direction of the mobile product based on user feedback and business goals.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience in building apps with strong knowledge of Android SDK, lifecycle, architecture components, and asynchronous programming.
- A proactive mindset and ability to independently lead mobile development.
- Attention to detail and UX-driven thinking.
- Fluent written and spoken English for clear communication in a remote, async-first environment.
